The American English Academy has been accredited by The Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), which is a specialized accrediting agency that focuses on post-secondary intensive English language programs and institutions.
We are accredited since 2019 and has worked with many students and clients worldwide. The center itself is in the heart of downtown Bridgeport. No matter where you are in the area, you can easily reach us.
Bridgeport is also known as "The Park City" because of its 1,300 acres of public park space aside from the popular Pleasure Beach and Seaside Parks. It is like each of us, residents, has a space in the park for relaxation and family gatherings.
Connecticut belongs to the Tri-State Region, commonly referred to as the greater New York (City) area, is made up of three states: New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), and Connecticut (CT).
A train trip between Bridgeport and New York is around 1h 25m, although the fastest train will take about 1h 17m.
PROGRAMS
The American English Experience Program
The American English Experience Program is for complete beginners through advanced students who need English for everyday and social purposes.
The American English Experience Program consists of 7 levels, divided into terms 288 hours per level, with 18 hours of instruction per week, and a total of 16 weeks per level)
Students are continuously offered opportunities to actively use the target language. The focus of instruction is on developing listening and speaking skills. This program also provides students with reading and writing practice, as needed.
The TOEFL Preparation Program
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Preparation Program is for high intermediate students who need English for academic purposes. This course targets reading and listening comprehension, proficiency in speaking and writing, and test taking strategies that will help students achieve a high score on the TOEFL exam. Learners who enroll in this program will have the opportunity to take several practice exams.
Private Lessons
American English Academy provides tutoring and supplemental education services to students of all ages and skill levels. Our warm and caring tutors help students to understand their homework. Affordable tutoring instruction is available in reading, writing, and test preparation.
